Freshman Year

Freshman year at Gonzaga University, was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. Starting off the year, moving in early and unsure how I would feel about being on my own, I quickly grew to love the environment. Not knowing who my roommates would be, I got extremely lucky to not just find a group of amazing people and suite mates, but also expand to meet people from all over campus. Now following my dreams as an engineer for the first time, I fell in love with my classes as I enjoyed pushing myself. Spending a year in engineering seminar really helped me define who I wanted to be as an engineer and pointed me in the direction of computer engineering with a minor in cyber security. Being a part of clubs and activities was also a major reward. Joining the drumline during fall semester was an amazing way for me to experience my love of percussion even though I was hundreds of miles away from home. Finally, wasting no time, I started to work in the IT department at Gonzaga, joining the network infrastructure team and having some of the most fun I have had at a job ever. Freshman year will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am excited to see what will happen next.
